Generative AI Policy

The team at BrokerNotes.co strives to be at the forefront of new technology. We continuously monitor the Generative AI landscape, test the newest AI tools, and refine our ability to use applications powered by large language models (LLMs).

That said, the use of AI tools supplements our editorial processes โ€“ it does not replace them.

We recognize that AI tools can make mistakes and that they have the potential to misunderstand important contextual information. When used irresponsibly, AI has been known to distort facts and present inaccuracies. Though we may use Generative AI as a tool to assist in some of our content creation, every page on BrokerNotes has been researched, fact-checked, and edited by multiple members of our highly qualified editorial team. Meet our team to learn more.

Weโ€™ve created this page as an extension of our existing editorial principles to provide some important context about how the content on BrokerNotes is created. Of course, with the rapid development of new technology, these policies are subject to change. We'll update this page the moment that any of these principles needs revision or is no longer relevant. We take the trust of our readers seriously.

How we use Generative AI:

To assist in the creation of some of our new written content and to maintain and refresh our existing content. Multiple members of our editorial team are involved in the creation of our content, and every page is thoroughly fact-checked and edited.

To create new efficiencies in our editorial process and to optimize certain rote aspects of our workflow. This has the benefit of freeing our team to explore new research and to utilize their human creativity for exciting projects that will delight and inform our readers.

We may use it like a search engine for initial research or planning purposes. We sometimes use AI in the same way that people use tools like Google and Wikipedia โ€“ to explore ideas or to spark inspiration for new content.

How we do not use Generative AI:

We never use AI to formulate opinions about the products, services, or companies that we cover. While Generative AI tools can be useful for data analysis, text generation, and basic research processes, they are not a part of our testing or evaluation processes. Our ratings, rankings, and opinions are entirely our own and are derived from our extensive research and decades of collective experience covering the finance industry. Our broker reviews are based on our own independent testing of each brokerโ€™s available products and services. We donโ€™t outsource this process to anyone or to any generative software.
